SNPlytics privacy policy
The short version
SNPlytics collects no personal data, no usage data, and no analytics. It has no account, no login, and makes no network connections of its own. Everything you open, analyze, or export stays on your Mac.
What the app does with your files
- Instrument exports (Roche LightCycler, Bio-Rad CFX, Thermo/ABI EDS), sample
sheets, and
.snplyticsproject files are read only when you open them, and only from locations you choose. The app runs in the macOS App Sandbox, so it cannot read anything else. - Results, figures, statistics, methods text and reproducibility bundles are written only where you choose to save them.
- Nothing is uploaded, synced, cached remotely, or shared with the developer or any third party.
Network
The app does not contact any server. The only outbound links are ordinary web links you can click deliberately (for example the developer's GitHub Sponsors page in the direct-download edition, or citation DOIs), which open in your browser and are governed by those sites' own policies.
Crash reports and diagnostics
SNPlytics has no built-in crash reporter or telemetry. If you install it from the Mac App Store and have opted in to sharing analytics with developers in macOS System Settings, Apple may share anonymised crash logs with the developer under Apple's terms; the developer receives no other information.
Children
SNPlytics is a research tool intended for adults; it does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes and contact
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date. Questions: oktar.guloglu@gmail.com.
